Indoor bonsai - Bouganwilea

Bougainvillea is a malleable creeper that grows in warm, sunny locations in loose, well-drained soil. It requires continuous enough, but not an excess of moisture, it does not benefit from long periods of drought. In its homeland, it does not have a period of rest, it grows and blooms throughout the year. If it is planted in a colder climate, it stops growing already at temperatures around +15°C and then it needs drought.

It blooms most when the length of the day is equal to the length of the night. If it grows in areas near the Earth's equator where day and night are about the same length, it tends to flower all year round. In places located further from the equator, it most often blooms in spring or autumn, at the times of the local equinox.
